Psychotherapy

Maybe you don’t know exactly what’s wrong, but you know something is missing.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. We start with what’s here. Therapy is where we explore what hurts, what matters to you, and what might need to change.

I work with the bigger things: love, suffering, purpose. I work with the smaller things: a bad first date, a frustrating colleague, a stressful family holiday. In our work together, there’s room for all of it. I’m especially interested in understanding who you are, what you’ve been through, and where you might like to go next.

It’s nice to meet you. I’m Grant.

Services

I’m a Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee, currently at The Liberation Institute, where I’m supervised by a licensed clinician. Liberation offers online weekly psychotherapy in the state of California to adults, teenagers, and couples.

The sliding scale at Liberation ranges from $30 per session to $130 per session. Learn more about fees and a Good Faith Estimate here.

Sessions with me tend to be thoughtful, grounded, and playful. Sometimes they’re serious, sometimes they’re surprisingly light. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, sensitive, and trying to make sense of their inner world and their relationships.

In our work together, I draw on relational, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapy principles. That means therapy is less about “fixing” you and more about understanding how you relate: to others, to yourself, and to the world around you.

“It isn’t always running towards the light.

Sometimes it’s helping each other

become less afraid of the dark.”
